Here at DelonixRadar (Australia) we do not sell the Escort 9500i , however for Australian or New Zealand customers, we recommend purchasing the 9500ix (same as 9500i but with a blue scren and more programmign features) from www.radardetectorsaustralia.com.au/detail/escort-passport-9500ix-gps/ - as this is the cheapest price in $AU dollars / $NZD offered by any online or offline seller in Australia and New Zealand. Otherwise you could risk it, and try buying one off eBay.
Escort's PASSPORT 9500i, has revolutionized the radar detector industry. Its performance is derived from the PASSPORT 8500 X50, which means it delivers top protection possible against all speed measuring devices. They've added advanced GPS-powered intelligence, which makes the 9500i the quietest performing, and most user-friendly radar detector.
The Escort 9500i is easily installed into the windshield by attaching the metal bracket supplied to the 9500i, and then pressing the two vacuum cups at the desired position on the windshield. We recommend mounting the detector in the middle of the windscreen, either up high next to the rear vision mirror or down low at the dash level, as long as it clears any physical objects such as the windscreen wipers. For a detailed explanation on which position is best to mount it, see our FAQ page

I have just obtained my Escort Passport 9500i and am disappointed by the inadequacy of the database currently available. I cannot possibly mark all the speed traps and hot spots all by myself and am more concerned when traveling across the state when a traffic ticket can almost certainly ruin my day I will be glad if a reliable database is available for downloading.
Great features. Saves me money, September 13, 2009

Its voice announcements feature is great by providing instant audible feedback for easier programming. It certainly facilitates fast programming when your eyes must be on the road. With the auto volume feature you can focus on the road while you rely on it to automatically increases the alert volume in noisy conditions such as a loud radio or road noise. You can drive and trust it to alert you with the display and flashing light, and if not one of these is possible the audio alert certainly will.
The Mark Location feature instantly “marks” known speed traps, cameras and other places of interest. The feature was highly useful for speed enforcement cameras that do not use radar or laser. Sensors embedded in the pavement with cameras that are totally undetectable to all other radar and laser detectors. Marking all the speed traps a mile away was the most efficient and effective way to escape a citation.
Hi mate, i recently came across a new radar detector that is made in oz suited for oz conditions, called "Vengeance" - I was just wondering how this compares to the Valentine 1, as couldnt find any info on it. Would like to know your info on this and which one would be more suited for wa, ta.
It's an Asian manufactured radar detector (it's not made in Oz) imported solely by radars.com.au
I haven't tested one myself, so I cannot comment on it's performance.
But for a proven track record on being one of the best performers around, look at
