"The Laser Interceptor
is simply the world's best laser jammer....as tested by Guys of Lidar 2007"
Laser InterceptorDual Head Jammer
Our Price: $849 AUD
Did you know that although a radar detector can also detect
laser, by the time you've received a laser alert, the laser gun already has
your speed? A (laser) detector offers you no advanced warning
against a laser gun targeted on your car. In fact a laser alert on
your detector is like a "ticket notifier". Only a laser jammer can
offer you real protection from laser speed guns.

The Guys of Lidar (USA) first tested the Laser
Interceptor in March 2007 along with several of the name brand jammers
available. Have a read of their
laser jammer test results and you can see how the Laser Interceptor
performed the best out of every jammer tested.
Dual laser modules
provide front and rear coverage of small cars and motorbikes, extra
jamming heads available for larger cars, 4WD's and SUV's.
Why do we recommend
the use of a good active laser jammer in conjunction with a high quality radar
detector?
Did you know that it
usually takes just half a second for a police laser gun to acquire your
speed? Sure, most radar detectors on the market include laser detection
as a standard feature, but consider this:
First you have to
acknowledge the laser alert on your radar detector. Then you have to take
your foot off the accelerator and apply the brake. Can you do this in
less than half a second every time? It’s highly doubtful. Did the guys
down at the car electronics shop that sold you your “top-of-the-range”
radar detector mention this? A laser detector is usually, at best,
simply a
“speeding ticket notifier”.
Now enter Interceptor into the equation...
The Laser Interceptor has two laser transceivers
that are discretely mounted on your vehicle. These laser transceivers
constantly scan for laser, but only jam after detecting a signal, thus
providing long life for the product. When a laser signal is detected,
the Laser Warning System installed in the driver's compartment provides
audible (voice and tone) alerts, as well as a visual warning through the
LED, giving you time to check your speed.
The laser
transceivers add laser "noise" to the reflected signal. The
Laser Interceptor
correctly analyzes the incoming laser gun pulse, which is different from
manufacture to manufacturer, and gets past the laser gun filters to
cause the speed gun display panel to remain blank.
The various laser
gun signal profiles are stored in processor memory, and when a laser
signal is detected, the first 3 of 70 light pulses are analyzed to
define what code we use to mimic their signal with noise. By the time
the 4th pulse is detected, the
Laser Interceptor
has
already started to defeat the laser gun. This analysis and response
occurs lightening fast, and the laser gun does not even have a chance.
After your speed is checked and adjusted if necessary, the driver should turn
off the system (via the installed power switch) to enable the police
officer to detect your vehicle's (now adjusted) speed. Once past the
speed trap, you can turn it back on.
Very Important:
When comparing the performance of any laser jammer we highly recommend
you seek unbiased, independent test results against the particular brand
and model of laser guns used in your state or country. It is
NO GOOD to judge a
test carried out using laser guns that are
not used in your area.
In Australia, for example, the three main laser guns used by police to
catch speeding motorists are:
1) The LTI
Ultralyte 100pps (NOT
the 125pps version)
2)
The Kustom Pro Laser 3
3) The LTI Ultralyte Compact
You may also find the
Kustom Pro Laser 2 or the LTI Marksman in older / remote towns, but the
100pps LTI and the Kustom Pro Laser 3 are the two main guns used
throughout Australia. As police expand their laser arsenal, you'll
find more guns with the 125pps software.
Make sure you
find out what guns are used in your area, then compare the test results
against THOSE laser gun(s).
The best
independent, unbiased group of testers we have met are the 'Guys Of Lidar'
in the US
The laser gun sends out a very narrow laser beam filled with invisible
light pulses, pointed at your license plate or headlights. The laser
beam reflects off your vehicle, back to the laser gun.
The time required from transmission until the reflection is received is
calculated by the laser gun's computer. This measurement is made about
70 times in 1/3 of a second for fast, high accuracy.
If you install a
laser detector in the windshield, the laser gun will get your speed
every time. Police don’t aim at the windshield, as the laser beam
will go straight through. They aim at highly reflective surfaces:
such as the headlights, front and rear license plates.
The
Laser Interceptor requires installation, and is best recommended
to be installed by a professional. Contact us for suggested installers
