The Escort ZR3 has been replaced by the upgraded ZR4 shifter from Escort. Although now superceded, the ZR3 still remains as a top quality jammer, that gives good performance, but most importantly, will interface with many of the Escort radar detectors in the market. Buy one now at a run-out price before they are sold out for good.
If your radar detector failed to save you from a ticket from a laser gun then you may wish to consider adding one of these to your system.
90 mph to 45 mph under fire from an Ultralyte LTi. Simultaneous video from inside the car and inside the gun site. It's a real challenge to shoot using the video display instead of the gun sight so targeting was very uneven but the ZR3 jams down to 50 ft on this one. The ZR3s performance was consistent against the UL all afternoon.

ZR3 Laser Jammer in Action
My ZR3 jams yet another Pro Laser 3, This time in the hands of a precinct 3 constable. There were brake lights tapped from a truck ahead so I was off throttle and coasting but still in the "strike" zone. So it still goes down as a save.
Notice the V1 alerts slightly ahead of the ZR3. Not enough to be a substantive warning but does demonstrate the V1 can sniff out a laser attack pretty quick.
FYI: If you use a jammer do NOT jam to the gun. Let your laser jammer jam for just a second til you get to the posted limit then shut it down so the LEO can get a fix. If not you may get an hour long roadside inspection.
The Guys of Lidar are one of the most respected, unbiased [read: not paid by a manufacturer to conduct a test of their product] group of radar detector & laser jammer testers in the USA.
Each year the group of enthusiasts meet and test different products for the purpose of measuring the performance of different models against one another.
They do not charge manufacturers to attend with their products (as SML do) nor are they paid by a manufacture (as does / did at one stage) the other main radar detector reviewer in the US.
In March of 2007, the Guys of Lidar conducted their annual laser jammer test, which that year, included the Escort ZR3.
The ZR3 Laser Jammer requires installation, and is recommended to be installed by a professional. Contact us for suggested installers near you. We invite anyone in Perth to come and test their installation using our lidar guns.
