I have been sent an infringement notice for speeding on Barkly st in Footscray. The speed limit there is 50kms, they detected my speed at 58kms and alleged speed at 55kms. I viewed the photograph today. What struck me as very strange is, the picture showed the back of my car. Is it true that a speed camera can detect speed from the back of a vehicle???

Yes, they mostly do it this way with the mobile speed cameras.
